New Beginnings
It's funny...I never thought I would be this happy again. We have definitely had a tough time for the last few years, but finally there is light! We have reached the end of the tunnel (or a break). Within the last few months there have been a lot of changes. J. and I have started going to church (for real this time) and I have joined the church. We've even made a couple friends there...it's pretty superficial right now, but it's nice to not have somebody always crossing over our boundaries. J. and I are talking about everything, and our marriage is better than it's ever been.
I am also much healthier than I have been in a while. I started working out with Josh at a local gym and have made a few friends there, too! I also lost 12lbs and 12 inches in the first 8 weeks, and I have the potential to lose a LOT more. I am really looking forward to regaining my body. It will be nice to be able to feel strong and confident, like I haven't in a long time.
We have started working on the house. We are going to be renovating the kitchen--staining the cabinets, putting in new appliances, and new countertops. That's just the beginning, too. We are selling the truck and putting in new floors in the livingroom and hallway and kitchen. The dogs have ripped the carpet up pretty good, so having something beautiful and nice will be wonderful.
We so desperately want to move up north, but have to get the inside and outside all spiffy. We have some time, though. I start my Master's program in the fall and that is a 16 month program and then we can think about moving. I graduate next semester, and I am very excited! It's been hard work, but it is way worth it not to have taken the easy way out.
LEXI is getting ready to come back to the states!!!! I am so excited :) I can't wait to see my godson and best friend again...its been far too long.
So 2012 is the best year so far!!!! and it is only going to get better. OH, and J. and I are thinking about taking a cruise to the Bahamas for our Anniversary. It's totally going to rock. It's so nice not to have to worry about money. J.s car will be paid off at the end of this month, then the rings and the credit cards...then the only thing we have left is the house---and that's just building up our credit!
It's so nice to have a peaceful life....we are obviously doing the right things!!!
